White Butterfly

This is one of the two artworks I made to illustrate the story Silent Blessing, written by Rebecca Minor, for Fables for Japan: a series of 3 anthology e-books created by over 86 renowned writers and artists, as well as rising new talent, from all over the world. This exquisite collection of folktales, comic book stories, and poetry is beautifully illustrated and connected by the theme of Japanese folklore.

This project was a response to the March 11th, 2011 earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear disaster that stuck Japan and all of the proceeds are donated to charity in care of Japan.

Esta es la primera imagen de dos que he realizado para ilustrar el cuento Silen Blessing, escrito por Rebecca Minor, para Fables for Japan: una serie de 3 e-books recopilatorios realizados por más de 86 reconocidos escritores y artistas, así como por nuevos talentos de todo el mundo. Esta exquisita colección de fábulas, cómics y poesías ha sido bellamente ilustrada y relacionada directamente con el folclore japonés.

Hysterical Minds - Parallax Art Fair

Hysterical Minds is proud to announce its international debut with an exhibition that will be held at the Parallax Art Fair from the 15th to the 18th of May in the Chelsea old Town Hall, London.

After two successful releases such as Shadowness and Twisted Essence, and the publication of our editorial opera prima Retrospectiva, we get out of your home screen again to walk around on the third dimension so you can see us live.

We will showcase a collection of 20 pieces from the collective artists (some of them still unreleased), and we will be giving a conference about the artgroup's history and goals. Also, during the event we will have a little stand in which you can come by to ask for information or just to say hello! We will have there some copies of our book Retrospectiva. You will easily find us by the giant banner that points out our way!

We want to thank our artists for their participation in this project, and we wish a great reception of their artworks in London: Martín Thompson, Martín de Diego Sádaba, Liran Szeiman, Sabrina Fernández, Mario S. Nevado, Juan Carlos Barquet, Dumaker Martín Navas, Beñat Olea, Antonio Rodríguez Cano, Antonio Collado, Diego Díez, Rubén Pomares, Guillermo Chang, Darío Pineda, Israel Llona, Micael Katzman, Joshua Cairos, Daniel Torres, Fernando Martín and Laurence Rhynn Viollet.

The opening times of the event will be as follows:
Tuesday 15th of May: VIP entrance only from 19.00 to 21.00.
Wednesday 16th of May: 11.00 to 18.00.
Thursday 17th of May: 11.00 to 20.00. Jazz performance from 18.00 to 20.00.
Friday 18th of May: 11.00 to 17.00

Hysterical Minds se complace en anunciar su debut expositivo de manera internacional en la feria de arte Parallax Art Fair que tendrá lugar de los días 15 a 18 de Mayo en el antiguo ayuntamiento de Chelsea (Londres).

Después de dos exitosos lanzamientos como Shadowness y Twisted Essence y la publicación de nuestra opera prima editorial, Retrospectiva, volvemos a salir de la pantalla de tu casa para darnos un nuevo paseo por la tridimensionalidad para que puedas vernos en vivo y en directo.

Pondremos a vuestra disposición una exposición de 20 piezas de artistas de este colectivo (alguna de ellas, inéditas), además de una conferencia en la que desentrañaremos la historia y esencia del colectivo. Además, durante la duración de la feria contaremos con un pequeño stand donde podréis acercaros para pedir información o para saludar. Contaremos también con varios ejemplares de nuestro libro Retrospectiva. ¡Nos encontrarás fácilmente por el gigantesco banner que indica donde estamos!

Winter Storm

Here is one of my first drawings of the year. A different one this time, something sweeter and warmer. A little red hood with her faithful wolf? It could be :P

Now I'm working in my portfolio and my aim is to illustrate my own tale, 'cause there isn't something better than transporting someone to a new world.

There's still a long way to go.

Aquí uno de mis primeros dibujos del año. Algo diferente esta vez, algo más dulce y cálido. Una pequeña caperucita roja con su fiel lobo? Podría ser :P

Ahora estoy dedicándome a ampliar mi portfolio y mi meta es llegar a ilustrar mi propio cuento, pues no hay cosa más bella que poder transportar al lector a un mundo creado por uno mismo.

Aún queda un largo camino por recorrer.
